Designed by an architect, this 4-bedroom home is situated in a quiet cul-de-sac, located on the edge of Whitewater Creek Track Reserve, a native bushland that leads out to Summerleas Road.

The house has been crafted to minimise its impact on the site and operate as a hidden secret, a bit like a treehouse. Anchored to an already excavated part of the hillside, with trees all around to maximise passive solar design opportunities, privacy and the views. This idea of being surrounded by nature played into the positioning of the living room, which has floor to ceiling windows that look out over natural reserve and has a stunning view of Mt Wellington.

A monochromatic colour palette is offset perfectly using timber flooring throughout, giving the whole space a feeling of warmth and comfort with the ceilings, walls and floors heavily insulated. Natural light is abundant thanks to the steel-framed windows and doors. Most of the windows are double glazed and the large front window of the entrance is thickened glass with a special tint to offer additional privacy. The home exudes a sense of lightness and brings calm to those within, whilst maintaining a strong visual connection to the outdoor spaces, a pure entertainers delight.

There is a vivid interaction between the indoor and outdoor areas within the dazzlingly lush landscaped back garden with its own walking track filled with native trees and flowering shrubs, and frequented by birds, possums and wallabies.
